Our take
The integrated media handles taste and sediment, but capacity is the limiting spec.
30,000 grains is the smallest capacity among our combos, so it suits one- or two-bathroom homes with moderate hardness. At very hard water it would regenerate often, using more salt.
The self-cleaning mixed media handles chlorine taste and sediment without cartridge changes, which is the main advantage over adding a separate carbon filter. The optional remote shut-off valve is sold separately.
How it compares on paper
- Against the Kenmore Elite 520 Hybrid: less capacity (30,000* vs 31,000 grains).
- Against the AFWFilters Fleck 48K + Upflow Carbon: less capacity (30,000* vs 48,000* grains) and a lower rated flow (8* vs 12* gpm).
